Wolfsburg. Sally Perel passed away in Tel Aviv yesterday, aged 97. Volkswagen AG mourns the loss of an important eyewitness who, until his death, never tired of warning against false ideals. Sally Perel consistently campaigned for respect and tolerance, for a peaceful coexistence, and for respect for all human beings. Into advanced age he travelled throughout Germany, Europe and the world, primarily to call the younger generation to critical, independent thinking, and to fight against exclusion and violence.
