Chemnitz 2025: More than 80,000 people celebrate the start of the European Capital of Culture year

80,000 people celebrated a big opening party in Chemnitz city center and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier declared the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 open in his welcoming address.
